Demetri Porphyrios' work as an architect is closely related to his ideas as a theorist. He believes that architecture must be firmly grounded once again in technology and the craft of building and in the principle of firmness, commodity and delight. The projects assembled in this volume range from his early didactic pavilions and houses to the more recent urban projects and large scale buildings such as the Belvedere Village, the Patermost Offices and new Quadrangle at Magdalen College, Oxford.
