Dennis Potter, MSW, FAAETS, CCISM, is a retired social worker who helped to form one of the first community-based Crisis Response Teams in Michigan in 1986 and the Michigan Crisis Response Association in 1988. He is currently the CEO of Kantu Consultants and a member of the ICISF Faculty since 2006. Dennis has presented at many local, state, regional, national and international conferences. He has written articles for various journals on the topic of working with Critical Incident Stress and co-authored the model for Post Action Staff Support. In 2021, Dennis was given the Grand Rapids Police Department "Exceptional Civilian Service Award" for 22 years of working with their Peer Program. In the same year, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from ICISF for his contributions to the field of CISM over the years.
