The questions that science CANNOT answer are often the most interesting ones: Where do we go when we die? Are we alone in the universe? What or who is God? Are we being visited by extraterrestrials? Do we share the planet with other terrestrial or extraterrestrial beings? If it is possible to get answers to these question, it will have to come from a process of intelligence gathering rather than strict scientific inquiry. Science just does not provide the right tools for investigating these areas. One problem is that, if there are intelligent entities at work in the shadows of our three-dimensional world, they do not cooperate with our attempts to study them. The CIA understands full well that you cannot do science on rogue entities that are intelligently directed.
