Born in Narrogin, Western Australia, in 1953, Kevin Price spent his formative years on a farm in the West Australian wheatbelt. He attended Narrogin Senior High School and later received a BA in English and Creative Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Education--both from Murdoch University.He is a writer who also teaches secondary English in Western Australia. Between 2005 and 2015, he founded the Born Storytellers and taught the storycraft of creative writing in Western Australian schools and writers centres, during which time he developed young writers, editing and publishing over 60 volumes of short stories produced by a body of student writers.Formerly an advertising and public relations copywriter, songwriter and magazine columnist, his writing has found success and failure in campaigns for West Australian as well as national and international brands. Kumakana: A Gronups Tale is his first novel. He describes himself as a writer, teacher and student of story and is currently working on his second novel, a television drama and completing a PhD in creative writing.
