One of the most famous and best-selling mystery writers of all time, "ELLERY QUEEN" was the creation of two cousins, Frederic Dannay and Manfred B. Lee, who together wrote dozens of novels and short story collections widely considered among the most accomplished in the crime genre, with more than 100,000,000 copies in print. Ellery Queen also inspired radio and TV series, movies, comic books, board games, and the eponymous Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine, which has been published continuously since 1941. Ellery Queen was named a Grand Master of the Mystery Writers of America (the organization's highest honor) in 1961. In the words of critic Anthony Boucher, "Ellery Queen is the American detective story.".
