Jennifer McKerley has taught children for many years and is an award-winning writer. Random House published her first children's book Man O'War: Best Racehorse Ever, as well as Amazing Armadillos, which was the 2010 winner for Young Readers Book in the New Mexico Book Awards. Also, Bank Street College of Education named Amazing Armadillos as one of the best children's books of 2010. Goblins, The Kraken, Hydra and Swamp Monsters (finalist in the 2010 NM Book Awards) were released by Thomson Gale, and Picture Window Books published her two fictional titles, There Goes Turtle's Hat and Rules of the Net. Lucent published Football, the Science Behind Sports, the 2013 winner for Young Adult Book in the New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards. Her new fictional titles, Lone Star the Lawman, No Green Things, and Blue Ribbons will be released by Heinemann.
