Theresa Reed, is a Facilitator of Learning, who entered the foster care system at age 13, and now uses her experiences to inspire others to not let their past define their future in the series It's Not Drama, It's Trauma. The books are companion tools to her seminars and exudes her passion for educating those who engage with foster youth but lack the knowledge to truly empathize in a way that facilitates healing. Theresa is the Executive Director of Training for Turtlesea Group, LLC, and Program Director of Foster/Kinship Care Education at Pasadena City College. With a M.Ed in Adult Education, certifications in specialized topics around foster care and trauma, including Mental Health First Aid, and 19+ years as a trainer, consultant, and advisor within the community college system, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experiences to share as a highly sought-after speaker.
