The novel, Inappropriate Life is about a 19 years old lukewarm Christian named Eric, who has a homophobic Jamaican father and didn't know that he was living an inappropriate lifestyle until an event happened, then looks back at the reasons why and how he is living this lifestyle. Therefore, Eric started his flashbacks in the beginning, when he was 4 years old and where he's reevaluating in every chapter as stories of how certain events and topics affected his life. He is basically reevaluating of what's inappropriate and why it is so he also gets to the root of these topics, addressing these issues as social issues, and shining down the truths that most people don't know about. Eric's self-esteem and sexuality with sexual content are the major factors to his inappropriate lifestyle and why he's living it. After Eric knowledge it, he does everything he could put an end to it, because it causes Eric to lose his sexuality and the lifestyle is toxic, but has to do more than just put an end to his lifestyle. Eric's mind, body and soul have to turn to righteousness and submit to God fully, which it's a process and a struggle down the line. Then, Eric comes to terms with someone, who's actually been behind his circumstances since day one. It comes down to that he has no other choice, but to fight this individual for his sexuality and self-esteem/worth including his own life.
