Terysa was also appointed as one of the United States Goodwill Ambassadors by President Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia, highlighting her commitment to helping others in need. She resides in Lafayette, Louisiana, with her husband of16 years and their four children. In 2019 she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design at São Paulo State University (UNESP). Since she was a child, Maria always had a pencil in her hand, ready to draw!
