Boundless Awakening : The Heart of Buddhist Meditation
Buddhist meditation is comprised of two aspects: calm abiding and insight. The meditation of calm abiding engenders a well-balanced, peaceful, and joyful state of mind. On this basis, the meditation of insight enables us to gain a deep and experience-based knowledge of the true nature of ourselves and of the world of appearances. Advice is provided: begin your meditation in a simple way and proceed gradually to the more advanced levels. Meditative practice in its simplicity is already very profound, and it will become more and more profound as it develops further.
