Dove Courtney is a tower of strength to her family, always ready to cook Sunday lunch for ten, do the shopping for her frail, elderly mother, throw a Boxing Day party for the neighbours. But when her impecunious brother arrives with his new wife, the 'Child Bride', and clearly plans to move in permanently, Dove puts her foot down.
