A knowledge based workbook for health and social care staff working in dementia care, both adult care settings and domiciliary care. This training workbook will give you a general understanding of dementia; the diseases and conditions that can lead to dementia, the parts of the brain that are affected by dementia and how to recognise the wide range of symptoms. There are 4 learning outcomes: 1. Describe the common types of dementia. 2. Identify causes and symptoms of different types of dementia. 3. Understand brain structure and the different parts of the brain affected by dementia.
