He has worked for The Orvis Company in various capacities since 1976. The Orvis Company began in 1856 as a fly-fishing company and is now the nation's oldest mail-order business, as well as an international purveyor of authentic products, knowledge, and services that define and enhance our sporting traditions. The Orvis Company has raised awareness about and funded scores of important conservation projects; each year, the company donates five percent of its pretax profits to fish and wildlife conservation.
