Richard M. Rosenfeld, MD, MPH, is Professor and Chairman of Otolaryngology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and Chairman of Otolaryngology at Long Island College Hospital, in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Rosenfeld also serves as Program Director for the SUNY Downstate Otolaryngology Residency Training Program. He completed his otolaryngology training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and then completed a two-year fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Childrenrs"s Hospital of Pittsburgh with a Masterrs"s Degree in Public Health.Dr. Rosenfeld received the Robert Ruben Award for Excellence in Pediatric Otolaryngology from SENTAC (Society for Ear, Nose, and Throat Advances in Children), AAO-HNS Distinguished Service Award (twice), AAO-HNS Honor Award, and a Presidential Citation from the Triological Society. He was a guest examiner for the American Board of Otolaryngology and has chaired numerous national committees in the AAO-HNS and ASPO (American Society for Pediatric Otolaryngology), including the Centralized Otolaryngology Research Effort and the AAO-HNS Guideline Development Task force.

Dr. Rosenfeld is president-elect for ASPO.Dr. Rosenfeld is the author, coauthor, or editor of 5 books and over 220 scientific publications and textbook chapters, including chapters in Bailey and Cummings on understanding data and medical literature. He has given over 500 scientific presentations and is recognized as an international authority on guideline development, evidence-based medicine, and otitis media. Dr. Rosenfeld is the founder and steering committee chair of the North American Community of the Guideline International Network. He serves on the Board of Directors for the AAO-HNS, ASPO, and the Auditory-Oral School of Brooklyn.

Dr. Rosenfeld has been listed in the Best Doctors in America and in New York Magaziners"s Best Doctors in New York since 1996.
