Axel Scheffler is a star illustrator whose instantly recognizable, warm and witty illustrations have achieved worldwide acclaim and numerous awards. He is the illustrator of some of the world's best-loved picture books, including modern classics The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child. In addition to his picture books, Axel illustrates wonderful novelty, board and gift books, such as The Bedtime Bear, The Tickle Book, On the Farm, and Noisy Jungle, as well as the Rhyming Stories series for Campbell. He is also the illustrator of the popular Pip and Posy series, and other books with Julia Donaldson including Room on the Broom, The Snail and the Whale, and the Tales from Acorn Wood series. Born in Hamburg, Germany, Axel now lives with his family in London, England. David Henry Wilson is a playwright and children's author, best known for his Jeremy James and Superdog series. He has written several novels, including The Coachman Rat, and has translated hundreds of books ranging from philosophy and art to children's picture books. He lives in Somerset, England.
