This photo project serves to re-create the experience of a visit to a farm animal sanctuary by telling the stories of some of the animals who were caught in and then rescued from this system.I'm a fashion-lifestyle photographer and an animal-lover. Until this project I was a happy omnivore, eating mostly plants, also some meat.I believed that buying meat from the local Whole Foods meant an animal was treated well. Visiting my rst farm sanctuary, I came to understand just how badly most farm animals are treated on the wayto our tables. I realized that responsible purchasing simply wasn't enough, I needed to take some responsibility for my community as a whole. The idea to create portraits of these animals stemmed from the realization that they had a right to a voice, a name and - quite literally - a face.At heart, I know we're all interested in making a difference - so why is it that we're willing to put up with the factory farm system?.
