This new Chinese Character Dictionary covers over 8000 Chinese simplified character entries in transcription, English meaning definitions and writing practice. Character entries are sorted according to the Chinese Radical system, and the increased coverage of Chinese characters exceeding the number of 3000 characters deemed to be the minimum for reading a newspaper daily, for example, will therefore also meet the higher demands of more advanced Western learners of Chinese. There is ample opportunity for writing practice; two Chinese character indices for locating Chinese character entries in this book (sorted by radicals and number of strokes) and two radical tables (covering both traditional and simplified Chinese characters for comparison) at the end complete the material of the book.
