The author, Jack Schneider, was born and grew up in Los Angeles, California. He started working in the family business when he was eight years old sweeping the shop floors. Later, they designed and manufactured the Zenith Dryer for the Steel Die Engraving Industry. His father held the patents so they pretty much had a monopoly. One of Jack's jobs was to clean the printing presses when they came in for service.Jack enlisted in the Navy at 18, serving for two years before the navy discharged him for an uncured coral infection. He rejoined the family corporation as Vice President until they went public in 1962. At that time, he was promoted to Corporate Vice President of Manufacturing and was responsible for all equipment design and construction, in addition to plastic packaging.
In 1962, Jack moved to Great Britain to run their European Operation. By 1963, he had started five British Companies of his own. He remained in the plastic industry for more than four decades,developing machines and processes and he holds over 200 patents in the Plastic Thermoforming Industry. You may have heard about the Extruform Machine. His most notable development was the plastic flip-top cigarette box used by Phillip Morris. His writing experience was limited to procedure and process manuals for his inventions but he always had a dream of writing novels.Jack moved to Grand Junction, Colorado to be close to his daughter who lived two blocks from Karen Brunner's home. Jack and Karen now live in Kirkland, Washington where Jack writes novels full time since he has retired.
Karen owned a full service secretarial servic e and print shop in Colorado. She edits Jack's writing and does much of the technical computer input for him. Karen works for Airtight Games in Redmond, Washington as HR Administrator and Office Manager. Airtight Games produces computer-animated games. Karen's son is the Chief Creative Officer along with his partner who is the Chief Financial Officer.Jack has two published novels, "Why Grandpa." and "San Juan Island Adventures." Currently he is writing his third novel.
"Conrad Mysteries" exploring who or what Big Foot is. The setting is at the beautiful Harrison Hot Springs, Canada. The book is scheduled for release in late spring in 2014.
