Julia Seal knew from the age of five what she wanted to do for a living-draw pictures! After earning a degree in Graphic Design and working in the greeting card industry (where she got covered in glitter every day!), she finally moved onto her dream job, illustrating children's books. Always passionate about environmental issues, she was inspired to write Bloom after reading that disposable masks would soon outnumber jellyfish in the ocean. Her hope is to help children understand and appreciate the delicate balance of life in our waters. Claire Winslow is a writer, editor, and aspiring beekeeper. She has written many books for children, including We Are the Rainbow! The Colors of Pride. She lives in Chicago, where she plants flowers on her balcony and welcomes every bee that visits. Maria Luisa Di Gravio was born in Rome, Italy, where she still lives with her partner and their cat (who swears she never chased Tullio). She spends her days bringing stories to life through illustration, but in her free time, she is usually out exploring the world, one walk at a time.

It was during a walk in the woods, looking for a squirrel, that the idea for this book was born. Why wasn't she looking for a mouse as well? They're not so different from squirrels.except for the tail. What if mice used hairpieces as faux tails? What would happen? Step by step, question after question, Tullio's tale took shape. Lauren Burke is a writer and editor from Chicago, Illinois. Her work focuses on women's history, travel, and classic literature. She also co-hosts a podcast called Bonnets at Dawn about the lives and works of women writers from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Vivian Mineker is a Taiwanese-American illustrator currently living in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

When she's not drawing or painting, you can probably find her running around with her dog Darlie, browsing at books in bookstores, or strolling along the river in the center of the city. Katie Crumpton is an illustrator from South Carolina, who ventured off to San Francisco to earn her degree from the Academy of Art University. She enjoys drawing whimsical and magical things, and loves to use all the colors of the rainbow to bring her work to life. Magic, nature, animals, and outer space are some of the things that inspire her, while she draws and listens to music.
