Charles Segal has enjoyed a long and multi-faceted career in the music business in diverse roles as musician, composer, music publisher, producer, and teacher. His many prestigious awards include the equivalent of a Grammy - South African Record Industry (SARI) Award for Song of the Year (in this book). Charles is an amazing teacher. He was trained in mandolin and classical piano performance and composition and attained a teacher's Licentiate from the Trinity College of London. Charles is the featured artist on over 500 albums. He has worked with great musicians, like Cy Coleman, Bill Evans, Bud Powell, Dan Hill and Arthur Prysock; he composes and plays 'œloops' for Hip-Hop artists and is a popular performer at Hollywood events in celebration of awards such as the Oscars, MTV Movie Awards, Teen and Kids Choice.
