This series brings together the first English translations of Emanuele Severino's (1929-2020) most noteworthy works. A major and distinctive voice in 20th-century Italian philosophy, Severino challenged certain cultural assumptions embedded with the Western tradition. This series aims to bring new audiences to his highly distinctive thought, and evaluate his lasting impact on global currents in metaphysics and contemporary continental philosophy. The volumes are translated and edited by scholars and philosophers with an extended knowledge of Severino's theoretical apparatus who provide critical contributions, introductions, and explanatory glosses. The series publishes Severino's theoretical volumes as well as his more interdisciplinary books, and will be of interest not only to philosophers, but also to readers of cultural and critical theory, the philosophy of religion and the philosophy of science.
