Jagdish N Sheth is a renowned scholar and world authority in the field of marketing. His insights on global competition, strategic thinking, consumer behaviour, and relationship management are considered revolutionary. Professor Sheth is the Charles H Kellstadt Chair of Marketing in the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Prior to this, he was the Robert E Brooker Professor of Marketing at the University of Southern California, and a distinguished faculty at the University of Illinois, Columbia University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has also worked for numerous industries and companies in the US, Europe and Asia, both as an Advisor and as a Seminar leader. He is on the Board of Directors of several public companies. A prolific writer, Jagdish Sheth has published a large number of books and research papers in different areas of marketing and business strategy, many of which are considered seminal references. His book The Theory of Buyer Behavior (1969) with John A.


Howard is a classic in the field. His other publications include Marketing Theory: Evolution and Evaluation (1988), Consumption Values and Market Choices (1991), Customer Behavior: Consumer Behavior and Beyond (with Banwari Mittal and Bruce Newman), Clients for Life (with Andreas Sobel) and The Handbook of Relationship Marketing (with Atul Parvatiyar). Professor Sheth is the recepient of many awards including the 1989 Outstanding Outstanding Marketing Educator Award from the Academy of Marketing Science; the Outstanding Educator Award from the Sales and Marketing Executives International in both 1991 and 1999; and in 2004, both the Richard D Irwin Distinguished Marketing Educator Award and the Charles Coolidge Parlin Award - the two highest awards given by the American Marketing Association. In 1996, Dr Sheth was selected as a Distinguished Fellow of the Academy of Marketing Science. He is also a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. Rajendra S Sisodia is Professor of Marketing and the Founding Director of the Center for Marketing Technology at Bentley College, Waltham. An electrical engineer from BITS, Pilani, Dr. Sisodia has a Ph.


D. in Marketing and Business Policy from Columbia University. His book, The Rule of Three: How Competition Shapes Markets (with Jagdish N. Sheth) has been translated into German, Italian, Polish, Japanese and Chinese. It was the subject of a seven-part television series by CNBC Asia, and was a finalist for the 2004 AMA Best Marketing Book Award. His forthcoming books (all with Jagdish N. Sheth) include Does Marketing Need Reform?, Firms of Endearment, and The 4 As of Marketing. Dr Sisodia has published about a hundred articles in publications such as the Harvard Business Review, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Strategy, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and the Journal of Marketing and Public Policy.


In 2003, he was cited as one of the 50 Leading Marketing Thinkers by the UK-based Chartered Institute of Marketing (the largest marketing association in the world).
