Kate Silver lives with her husband Jack just outside of Sebastopol, California. She has three grown children and four grandchildren. She is a musician and a gardener.Kate is a licensed teacher of Omotesenke Japanese Tea Ceremony. She has studied Chanoyu since 1990. She and her husband have a teahouse on their property where Kate instructs tea. She holds a third degree black belt in Aikido from New School Aikido of Santa Rosa where she is also an instructor.She is a professional artist working mostly in ceramics, prisma color, and acrylics.
She has had her pottery exhibited in Kyoto, Japan, in America, and on occasion shows her at "non-ordinary state" artwork exhibits. Kate is also a certified Holotrophic Breathwork facilitator.In 2012 the first edition of the New Earth Tarot was published. This was a collaboration between herself and her long-time friend Charlene Delong. In 2016 the second edition of the deck is being published along with Kate's book: the New Earth Tarot Handbook. It is Kate's hope that the New Earth Tarot Handbook will help deepen the user's understanding of the New Earth Tarot Deck through specific image references and explanations coming directly from the artist.
