Jayme Simmons is a cybersecurity professional, U.S. Army veteran, and author dedicated to helping children and families navigate the digital world safely and confidently. With over two decades of experience working in cybersecurity across multiple government and defense environments-including support to large federal agencies and military organizations-Jayme has spent his career protecting networks, responding to cyber incidents, and helping organizations reduce digital risk. He has worked in senior cybersecurity roles focused on incident response, intrusion detection, compliance, and cyber defense operations. Jayme holds a Master's degree in Information Systems Management, a Bachelor's degree in Technical Management, and graduate certificates from the SANS Technology Institute. He maintains industry-recognized certifications including CISSP and PMP, along with advanced cybersecurity credentials earned through years of professional practice and leadership. As both a parent and a technologist, Jayme recognized that children are growing up surrounded by technology-often without age-appropriate guidance on how to use it safely.
He created the Cyber Time Tracker series to bridge that gap, turning real cybersecurity concepts into engaging stories that help kids learn how to pause, think critically, and make smart choices online. Jayme's books are designed to support parents, teachers, and caregivers by introducing cybersecurity concepts in a way that is approachable, empowering, and aligned with how children learn best-through curiosity, storytelling, and imagination.
