An oceanic geologist drags his wife, two kids, and assistant to the rundown coastal town of Graywater, Oregon to research a strange sound in the Pacific known as The Blip. Once there, a series of terrifying ecological anomalies and a few uncomfortable encounters with the hostile locals put the entire family on edge. As Graywater seeps deeper into their blood and reality drifts further away, they each must face their biggest fears and darkest urges to once more reunite as a family and make it home alive. The hallucinatory aspects of Midsommar and Mandy wrapped up in what first seems like a traditional horror novel that soon devolves into chaos, madness, and something far weirder. Fun stuff.
