The author is a "true blue" Aussie, a "bloke's bloke" a former stock and station agent and cattle auctioneer. He has lived in regional New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory all his life. He has had a close relationship with many farmers and graziers and his writings reflect his experiences and observations in rural Australia. Non Australians may find some words confusing but his vocabulary is often used in the past and the present. Some explanations are provided with some poems.Imagine you are present during your reading of each poem, and approach each poem with an open mind. Enjoy the unique Australian humour. He has also been successful in the corporate world, holding executive positions in Canberra's building societies and credit unions.


Several of the poems relate directly to the author on his life experiences. He was a successful sportsman in his younger days, excelling at hockey, badminton and lawn bowls.The author lives in retirement in Narromine, New South Wales, Australia. He is a committed Christian and a worship leader in his church community.He was a Rotarian for many years and held many positions on several District committees. He was an Assistant Governor and Deputy Chair of the youth exchange program, managing students from/to four countries among his favoured roles.
