The Humoid is born. The celebration of the first viable artificial life is cut short, though, by an inability to provide adequate sustenance. Time is slipping by, and a formula must be found. Red, an intellectual resident of the emotionless institution, is selected to create the mixture, and failure is not an option.The combination of unsuccessful mixtures and an inability to maintain control leaves Red a candidate for extermination.Red must escape and leave the only reality she's ever known, but with a new life outside the Building, she finds an unexpected transformation, changing everything, and bringing the wonder of life itself.
