Suzanne C. Smith R.N ,nurse, pilot, artist, writer. formerly Mrs. Charles L. Stutesman loved aviation since her childhood. She stood by Charles through the adventures and the dangers. He taught her how to fly- and their home was an airport.
they worked side by side daily. Pilots of all callings were frequent guests at the airport home- missionary, bush, commercial pilots- students and want-a-bees . She wrote a column about aviation safety for an international aviation magazine. Her oil painting portraits of planes have hung in museums and graced magazine covers.Suzanne Smith R.N. was, born in Philadelphia, has enjoyed serving others with tender nursing care and strong patient advocacy. She came up through the ranks- first as a nursing assistant- then an LPN, then a Registered Nurse.
She earned a CPHQ- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality in 2004. A graduate of the University of the State of New York- Regents College, Albany, NY. and Pima Community College, Tucson, Arizona- Honors and Phi Theta Kappa. She had had chaplaincy training and is a Parish Nurse.Smith has been honored by Congressmen and other community leaders for work with the senior citizens. Smith has worked in the Medical departments of two HMOs in the role of Utilization Review, Prior Authorization, Concurrent Review, Quality Assurance, Case Manager/Discharge Planner/ Quality Improvement. She also worked in those roles within a private hospital and Home Heath. She has been a board member of the United Way- Healthcare Allocations committee, served in the Red Cross, and numerous other volunteer positions.

At six years old was trapping wild animals along the river to sell pelts to feed his little brother and mother. Charles fell in love with aviation as a child. He was inspired by the US Mail plane going over the farm. As a teen he purchased a Cub, he tied himself in, as it had a hole in the floor, and took off. He taught himself to fly. He joined the Air Force, and went on to build many airports from the ground up.
He flew food to snow bound Indians, and rescued a child hiding under a desert bush -sighting him by air. He spread the ashes of deceased friends, and taught thousands to fly, and a mentor to many. He played gospel music for shut-ins & nursing home residents. He led others to Christ." He is a legend.
