He wrote the lyrics for West Side Story and Gypsy . James Lapine is the Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning director and author of Into the Woods , Falsettos , and Passion . He also won a Pulitzer Prize for Sunday in the Park with George . Some of his other works as author and director are The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee , Amour , and Dirty Blonde . Hudson Talbott is an author and cartoonist, best known for his children's books.

He has written and illustrated over a dozen books, including O'Sullivan Stew , Tales of King Arthur , and Forging Freedom .
