John Steinbreder has been writing professionally since 1981 and is the author of five books. He has written for Sports Illustrated, Time, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times Magazine, and Golf Digest. A special contributor to ESPN, he has served as contributing editor to numerous publications and now works as a senior writer for Golfweek magazine. A University of Oregon graduate, Steinbreder also attended the University of Nairobi in Kenya and Franklin College in Lugano, Switzerland. He lives in Easton, Connecticut, with his daughter Exa.
