Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) was an English author born in Edinburgh. He studied at Edinburgh University and then went on to write novels, short stories, and poems, including Treasure Island , The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde , and the beloved A Child's Garden of Verses . Kathleen Olmstead has written more than a dozen fiction and non-fiction books for young adults, and her short fiction and poetry have appeared in literary journals including Fireweed and Taddle Creek . She has written several books in the Classic Starts® series including Classic Starts®: Oliver Twist and Classic Starts®: Anne of Green Gables . She lives in Toronto, Canada.
