Leisa Stewart-Sharpe is a trained journalist turned children's book author who writes stunning nonfiction picture books. Her Australian childhood inspired her love for the natural world and the stories of its strange and wonderful creatures. She is the author of nonfiction picture books Our Blue Planet , which has been translated into several languages around the world, and Our Frozen Planet . Kim Smith is the New York Times bestselling illustrator of over thirty picture books, including her first authored and illustrated book, Boxitects . Other books she has illustrated include the Builder Brothers picture book series by Drew and Jonathan Scott; the PopClassics picture book adaptations of popular films including Back to the Future , Home Alone , and Elf ; and the Ice Chips chapter book series by Roy and Kerry MacGregor. In addition to illustrating picture books, Kim has also worked on children's games, puzzles, animation, 3D displays, posters, and magazines. When she's not busy illustrating, Kim spends most of her time exploring and painting in the great outdoors. She lives in Calgary, Canada.

He is best known for his television work including the CBBC children's nature series, the Really Wild Show from 1986 to 1995. He has presented the BBC nature series Springwatch, Autumnwatch and Winterwatch since 2009. He is vice-president of the RSPB, the Wildlife Trusts, the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and Brent Lodge Bird & Wildlife Trust. He has been a consistent opponent of the badger cull in England, describing it as "sickening, expensive, cruel and divisive." A dead badger was hung on the front gate of his home in the New Forest because of his views on the cull.
