Sandra Betancort was born in Venezuela. Her spiritual path and internal work of yoga and meditation, has inspired her to study the Light in depth, leading her to experiment as an artist through mirrors and prisms; and how it acts and reflect when projected onto surfaces. The artist assumes her own language in evolution from the recognition of rhythms and forms that dialogue between geometry and abstraction, fragmenting sets or masses of color that display the expression of the prism. A game of repetition, a fractal, a state of meditation, a mantra, a prism, a beam of light, or a mandala, are just some of the elements that combine, coexist and are found in her work, creating a single set visual in harmony with space. Its prisms constitute its own spirituality made work, a contemplative and sensitive plastic proposal, which uses its vibratory effect to unfold into infinite forms, in a multiplicity of its own geometries that are dispersed and transformed, serving as a vehicle for light travel in its infinite vectors.
