Celia Svedhemis a psychologist who also works as a freelance writer and literary critic. Stora Boken Om Bläckfiskar(or Meet the Cephalopods in English) is her book debut. The idea came when she was reading a book about dinosaurs to her children and they became curious about octopuses. Although this is her first book, Celia has written literary criticism, chronicles and essays for many years. She lives in Jönköping with her partner and two children. Filippa Widlundis one of Sweden's most appreciated illustrators of non-fiction books. Filippa attended Konstfack, studying graphic design and illustration. She is an experienced illustrator and has illustrated a number of school books, such as the "Mathematics book".
At Bonnier Carlsen, she has illustrated or participated in around thirty books. B.J. Woodstein is a Swedish-to-English translator, writer and editor, as well as an honorary professor of literature and translation at the University of East Anglia. B.J. lives in Norwich, England, with her wife and daughters.
