After taking an at-home DNA test, Alex Tinsdill is contacted by a New York legal firm to advise him that he is a genetic match to a wealthy client. Alex soon discovers that he is the sole heir to a $250 million fortune, and a Gilded Age estate called Cove Point Manor. Shocked by the discovery of his previously unknown relatives, Alex decides to spend some time at his new estate while deciding what to do with it. Soon Alex's family "friends", Brenda and Connie Sonwil find out about Alex's windfall and set out to separate Alex from some of that fortune. The arrival of these two greedy women awakens the benevolent spirit that has protected Cove Point Manor, the long-dead Rebecca Farnsworth, the original owner of the mansion. Spooky things soon start happening to Brenda and Connie as Rebecca tries to drive them from her beloved mansion.
