Lou Treleaven started writing just as soon as she could dictate words to her mom and was soon writing her own stories, plays, and poems, all of which she still has filling up a big cupboard. After being forced to grow up, writing many more books and filling up another cupboard or two, her first picture book was published in 2016. Her second picture book, The Snowflake Mistake , was read by Suranne Jones on the BBC's CBeebies Bedtime , and she is now the author of more than 20 published children's books. Lou also has plays published with Lazy Bee Scripts, has written for Writing m agazine, and is the author of the "Social Media for Writers" chapter in the Handbook of Creative Writing (2nd ed). She lives in a village in Bedfordshire with her husband and grown-up children and likes reading, art, gaming, and her cat, Badger. Matthew Scott is an award- winning illustrator currently based in the UK. His bold, colorful artwork has seen him working with a diverse range of creative teams to produce children's books, toys, games, apps, and animations for TV shows. His artwork always begins its life with sketches using pencil and paper, which are then colored digitally using various programs and scanned textures.

You can find him drawing from the moment he crawls out of bed to the time he eventually falls asleep to the sounds of the Shangri-la's or the Beach Boys at his desk cluttered with piles of sketches, ideas, and plenty of notes telling him things he needs to do or should avoid doing in the future. His client list includes Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Scholastic, Igloo Books, Arcturus publishing, Parragon Books, Oxford Press, and many more!.
