Me and Mcgee
Last year, McGee, the Catbirds' best hitter, walloped a home run, cleared the bases, and won the Apple Valley Championship. It's been a long winter and the pitcher has practiced every day, memorized those 108 stitches on the ball. There are two strikes and McGee steps up to the plate. Just like last year. The pitcher throws the Slither Ball, the Brush-Cut Ball, and, finally, the Cannonball Express, with that sweet spot that only McGee can see. Will it be enough?.
