2 Qur'an references used and 1 Hadith (Prophetic Sayings) references used in the book. The first Qur'an reference at the beginning of the story is from surah al Anbiya which translates to The Prophets. The verse is about Prophet Yunus, known as Jonah in Biblical and Hebrew. The verse speaks of Prophet Yunus being punished by Allah for a bad deed, despite being a pious Prophet. He realised of his wrong and repented, whereby Allah forgave him. The second Qur'an reference is placed at the end of the story and is from surah Al Anam which translates to "The Cattle" and describes how Allah is in control of all.The Hadith reference is described at the bottom. The theme of caves and being saved occurs several times from what we know in Islamic history.

The one described in the book, Prophet Muhammad being saved by Islam essentially when the Qur'an was revealed to him by Angel Gabriel in the cave. Later in life, whilst in a battle and taking shelter in a cave with some of his companions a spider wove a web at the entrance of the gave deterring their assailants. The story of the people of the cave is described in the 18th chapter of the Qur'an called Surah Al Kahf - which translates to The Cave, this describes a story of Allah protecting seven men and a dog during the ruling of the Romans. Lastly, the story of Yunus/Jonah in the belly of the whale which was like a cave. These stories all aid in depicting God's Mercy and Miracles. Another way the author has done this is also by including a mini science lesson on page 7 through the formation of stalagmite. The description of the drips forming one centimetre every 200 years exhibits the sublime creation of Allah down to every detail and being the controller of time. The book ends with the same format of 10 comprehensive questions about the book.

The end lesson is to perform good deeds sincerely and repent for any bad deeds.
