Lisa Wade is an Associate Professor at Tulane University with appointments in Sociology, the Gender and Sexuality Studies Program, and the Newcomb Institute. Her book American Hookup: The New Culture of Sex on Campus is the definitive account of the sexual culture that dominates higher education. Myra Marx Ferree retired in 2019 as the Alice H. Cook Professor of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently affiliated with the Minda de Gunzberg Center for European Studies at Harvard University.

She is the recipient of various prizes for contributions to gender studies. Including the Distinguished Career Award from the American Sociological Association Section on Race, Gender, and Class. She continues to do research on global gender politics.
