David Walker comes from a large family back in the burbs of Chicago. His youthful years were spent running amuck in the fields and woods surrounding his home, hunting snakes, fishing in the ponds, or digging up bones from an old, abandoned farmhouse across the street. But when he ran out of things to do, you could always find him high in a willow tree, building a tree fort, or on his bike jumping homemade ramps. Shortly after graduating from Hinsdale South High, Dave hit the road to live in Raleigh, North Carolina for a couple years, working for a roofing company and sharpening his construction skills. Then after three years there, an opportunity came up to tour with the Camel GT racing circuit, and he hit the road again until finally settling down in Maryland After working hard driving trucks for fifteen years and helping those who needed his home improvement skills, he began another life-changing career. Now with over 13 years of experience serving as a Security Officer at a Federal Organization and 17 years working as a Security Guard at an NFL Stadium, he turned back to his passion of bringing life to a magical world. A world where monsters dwell that are so hideous, they ride on the backs of rats through the caves and caverns deep within shadows and can only be defeated with the might of a sword and the brute force of an army. With his wife of over 20 years, 4 kids, 6 grandkids, and one utterly insane dog, Poppy Dave began a new journey in life of sharing his stories to the world.

Since the moment he published his first book, he'd devoted every spare blink of time to sharing the continuing saga of Cobasfang as he battles against mystical creatures and dark magic.
