Nicole Walker's Quench Your Thirst with Salt won the Creative Nonfiction Book Award from Zone 3 Press, the Viola Award for Storytelling, and the silver medal in nonfiction from the Independent Publisher Book Awards (2014). Walker is the author of a collection of poems, This Noisy Egg (2010), and the co-editor of Bending Genre: Essays on Creative Nonfiction (2013). The recipient of a 2007 National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Poetry, her writing has appeared in the Huffington Post, Fourth Genre, Iowa Review, Orion, and other publications. A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, she currently lives in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she directs the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Northern Arizona University.
