César was born in Barcelona and he grew up smelling his father's oil paints, reading his comic books, and trying to paint over his drawings. But until he meet his wife, he didn't realize that he wanted to be an illustrator. So he went to Llotja Arts School, and since then, he has illustrated many children's books across numerous publishing houses.
