This study mainly proceeds from the disciplinary perspectives of sociology and religious sociology, applying the "Social Embeddedness Theory", "Religious Market Theory", and "Social Change Theory" to demonstrate the interactive relationship among "society, Buddhism, and temple economy". It conducts a historical investigation and modern analysis of the economic development of temples in the Nanjing area, focusing primarily on Jiming Temple.
