Clyde McCall is about to play in the biggest basketball game of his young life, The Forest City Championship - but something is wrong. Clyde's only shoes are old and worn out, but he knows he cannot get new basketball shoes on his own. He turns to his three best friends, Maria Clara Reynolds, Jacob Grant, and the always-up-to-no-good Marlon Walters, for help. They embark on a quest to help Clyde get a pair of new basketball shoes.
