After a clumsy rescue by Tokaki, Suzuno and Tatara escape their imprisonment by the Crow People. During their escape, they quite literally stumble into their newest Celestial Warrior--the graceful and wise Toroki. Upon learning Suzuno is the true Priestess, the Crow People celebrate her with a feast. Tatara chooses this time to reveal something special to Suzuno, but she can hardly catch her breath amid all the excitement before Ning-Lan reveals her next murderous move.
