Christine has been learning to walk with Jesus since age three. Her journey has included many people and several books, but her heart is always drawn to what each person's real story tells and how Jesus has been a part of it. Her writing began as bits of encouragement to high school classmates. It continued, manifesting as poems about life and essays about what the LORD has been teaching her as she and Jesus travel through life together. In Derelict No More: Treasures Beyond Abandonment she takes one cue from Charles Osgood whose poetic commentary on current events fascinated her on long night drives with her dad down the California I-280 corridor back home from grandpa's house. The other she takes from Calvin Miller's prose poetry Singer Trilogy that inspired her to share this lyrical testimonial of transformed grief and bring you along. Christine was physically abandoned by a parent who loved her but not abandoned by the Lord God who loves her best. She is privileged to experience the peace and love of Christ Jesus and her Heavenly Father, Yahweh, who continue to meet her needs in unexpected ways.
She currently lives in Nampa, Idaho and together with her husband provides 24/7 care for his declining elderly dad.
