Subversive Silences : Nonverbal Expression and Implicit Narrative Strategies in the Works of Latin American Women Writers
Helene Carol Weldt-Basson received a BA from Barnard College (1979), an MA from Harvard University (1980), and a PhD from Columbia University (1987) in Latin American literature. She has taught at Columbia and Fordham Universities in New York, and is currently an Associate Professor of Spanish at Wayne State University. She is the author of Augusto Rao Bastos's I The Supreme: A Dialogic Perspective (1993) and numerous articles on twentieth-century and contemporary Latin American literature.
