With all that about to explode around the world the discovery of a meteor on a collision course with Earth still a year and a half away is not the greatest concern on President Alexander Crane's long list of problems. But as the world holds its breath waiting for that one last instigating event that ignites global conflict, the meteor rushes onward and if only on a temporary basis draws the attention it deserves. The inevitable collision with Earth may destroy much of mankind. A desperate plan is born to save as many people as possible in hopes of resurrecting humanity sometime after the impact.
