This is the true and moving story of a "Valleys Boy", born in 1958, whose Asperger's Syndrome resulted in school days that were harrowing and formidable. A conflicting trait of boisterousness also thrust Alan into the spotlight, the very place he sought to avoid. Seeking purpose and belonging, Alan emigrates to Tasmania only to succumb to homesickness. A subsequent return to Wales, sees him take on years of full-time education, creating a new foundation for a promising future, only to be destroyed by addiction.From the gates of hell and debris of despair, "spiritual awakening" ignites a vision and clarity of purpose, evoking Alan into following his heart.
