I am the creator of Peacekeepers. I live near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with my husband, our two teenage kids and our two cats. I started working with children when I was in high school, working at summer camps, volunteering at Sunday School and babysitting. Now, I work in schools, at camps and outdoor learning settings to help adults empower youth to have a voice and influence in their learning communities using the framework of restorative practices. In my 20+ year tenure as an educator, I witnessed a decline in interpersonal skills amongst students and adults supporting them. Peacekeepers is not just a peer mediation program. It is an opportunity for young people to learn valuable skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. It is also a place where adults get to witness students do amazing work to support their peers.
